US— Electronics industry analyst iSuppli Corporation has inked a deal to acquire media-focused research agency Screen Digest.
The deal includes Screen Digest’s US subsidiary Adams Media Research, which specialises in film, TV and videogames. The acquisition is expected to be completed before the end of the year. Terms were not disclosed.
Derek Lidow (pictured), iSuppli’s president and CEO, said iSuppli plans to marry its technology research offering to Screen Digest’s media content, distribution and platform trends analysis work.
Lidow said: “The addition of Screen Digest’s vast range of intelligence services will enable iSuppli to offer its clients the most complete understanding of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) value chain in the market research business today.
Neither company will suffer any redundancies as a result of the deal, iSuppli said.
Ben Keen, chief analyst and executive director at Screen Digest, added: “We are excited to leverage our talented team to jointly develop services with iSuppli that will yield new in-depth insight into TMT trends.”
