Ipsos launches Mobi-Vision mobile research tool

UK— Ipsos MediaCT has gone live with its Mobi-Vision mobile phone-based research tool, which it says has been in development for the past two years.

Mobi-Vision mixes mobile surveys, passive mobile measurement and live qual and is being pitched to clients in five “frameworks”, built around the types of projects the tool could be used for.

Real-time content evaluation, diary projects, event-based polling and cross-platform media research are some of the potential applications, Ipsos says.

Eventually the firm intends to integrate the mobile research app into its online panels and to start offering integrated passive measurement of mobile and PC usage.

  • As the merger of Ipsos and Synovate continues, today sees the announcement that Synovate executive Jake Orpen has been named manager for the combined business in South Africa. Current Ipsos Markinor CEO Ian Jeffrey is to take up a new global role within Ipsos’s Mystery Shopping arm. See here for more on the post-merger management reshuffles in China and the UK.
