UK— Ipsos Mori is the latest research agency to team up with designers for work on data visualisation.
The firm has announced a partnership with The Design Laboratory, which is based at Central Saint Martins College.
Ipsos said the collaboration “aims to transform the visual representation of data for clients” by drawing on the Design Laboratory’s in-house experience and the “fresh talent and ideas” of graduates from Central Saint Martins and other parts of London’s University of the Arts.
Design Laboratory director Yann Mathias (pictured) said he was “thrilled” to be working with Ipsos Mori.
“We believe that communicating information and data is not just about numbers but also the stories attached to them, and are looking forward to helping create new and original visual narratives to better communicate those stories for brands,” he said.
Ipsos Mori’s CEO Ben Page said: “We really admire The Design Laboratory’s work, and together we want to create really powerful presentations and communications that help our clients quickly identify key implications of our work in a visually compelling way.”
Rival research group Kantar recently teamed up with David McCandless, the man behind Information is Beautiful, who is providing creative support and training.
