Ipsos acquires New Zealand public sector research firm

FRANCE/NEW ZEALAND – Ipsos has acquired New Zealand-based public sector research business CBG Health Research Ltd (CBG) from parent company Reach Aotearoa for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will add to Ipsos’ public sector research in New Zealand, with CBG carrying out large-scale population surveys on topics such as education, public health, transport and social issues.

Ben Page, chief executive at Ipsos, said: “Research to help improve public policy is one of Ipsos’ core strengths. This acquisition is part of our ambition to grow in public sector research across our global footprint.

“It adds to our strength in New Zealand, making us one of the largest players in the market there.”
