AUSTRALIA— Gartner has received the necessary shareholder backing to complete its AUD 20m takeover of Sydney-based IT market analyst Ideas International.
More than 90% of Ideas shareholders tendered their stock in support of the deal, which is now expected to close in the next several weeks.
Although both firms analyse IT market trends, Ideas CEO Stephen Bowhill (pictured) has described the businesses as “highly complementary” with no overlap in coverage.
Ideas provides market intelligence on IT infrastructure configurations and pricing data.
