ICM’s Wisdom Index to offer prediction-based political polls

UK— ICM has unveiled a new prediction-based methodology for political polling, called “Wisdom Index”, run in conjunction with the Sunday Telegraph.

The survey – claimed to be the first of its kind – asks respondents to predict the outcome of a general election instead of saying how they would personally vote.

ICM’s head of social and government research Martin Boon said the prediction model holds “great potential for how we track public sentiment”.

Traditional political polls will continue to be published seperately in the Guardian, who ICM have worked with since 1984.
