ICM names Wiseman and Turner as board directors

UK— ICM Group has appointed two new board directors: Andrew Wiseman from Verve and James Turner from FreshMinds.

Wiseman has been hired to lead the Telecoms, Media & Technology team, but will also be responsible for building up the company’s advanced analytics capabilities.

Earlier in his career Wiseman worked within Nielsen’s Advanced Analytics division and went on to lead market analytics at Nunwood. Most recently he was with online community specialist Verve, helping to establish a Leeds office, and prior to that he was CEO of Optimisa’s research business.

Turner, meanwhile, has been given an ‘innovations’ remit and will focus on developing new research offers in areas such as social media. This work in particular will feed into ICM parent company Creston’s overall social media strategy, along with contributions from other companies in the marketing services group.

He joins ICM from FreshMinds, where he has spent the past year heading up the online research and online research community division. Turner previously worked for BT as head of research.

The arrival of the new board directors coincides with the departures of ICM Research managing director Matthew Burn and director Gary Muncaster. ICM Group chairman Justin Sampson said: “Both Matt and Gary have played a tremendous role in the development of ICM over the last decade and their contributions should be acclaimed.

“Their decisions to move on have created opportunities to bring in fresh talent and to recognise established team members who are ready to take on increased responsibilities.”
