UK — Matt Hill, currently head of planning and insight at Channel 5, has been appointed as research and planning director at Thinkbox, the marketing body for commercial TV in the UK.
Hill (pictured) will have responsibility for Thinkbox’s research and planning teams and will join the Thinkbox board when he takes up his position in early 2015. He has been at Channel 5 since 2006, having previously worked at Virgin Media and Attentional.
Hill replaces Neil Mortensen, who is leaving Thinkbox to become director of planning and research at ITV. Mortensen had been in the Thinkbox role since March 2011.
