UK – Media agency Manning Gottlieb OMD has appointed Mark Halliday as chief digital and data officer.
Halliday (pictured) is currently the chief executive of performance at Omnicom Media Group Asia-Pacific. He will join MG OMD in early January 2019.
The appointment marks his return to the agency, where he previously headed up mobile six years ago. In the new role, Halliday will be responsible for the roll-out and management of Omnicom’s new marketing and insights platform, which looks to personalise customer experience.
He will report to managing director Natalie Bell and joins the company’s board of directors.
Manning Gottlieb OMD has also hired Tony Rimmer in the newly created role of executive director, head of data and effectiveness. Most recently vice-president of marketing science at beauty company Coty, Rimmer will lead a department of 30 staff, reporting to Mark Halliday. Daniel Hernandez has also joined the company as head of search and social division Resolution.
Natalie Bell, managing director, Manning Gottlieb OMD said: "These appointments are reflective of our investment and ambition for further growth in digital and data solutions – and in bringing new perspectives to what we do; from different markets, agency models and client-side roles. It’s also great to have Mark back with us."
