INDIA— GMO Research and its subsidiary GMO Japan Market Intelligence are to open an operations centre in India by the end of the month.
The new centre will provide 24-hour support to clients and will be led by Anupam Kaul, who previously led operations centres in India for Global Market Insite and Greenfield Online.
GMO said the aim of the new office will be to offer better support to clients in North America and Europe by taking away some of the constraints of cross-timezone communication.
In January, the firm hired Jonathan Sheldrake to lead its European office while Sarah Jang was hired to establish GMO’s first US office in July.
