Ghostery chief privacy officer to address EU Parliament

UK — Todd Ruback, chief privacy officer of digital privacy and transparency consultancy Ghostery will address the EU Parliament about the impact on business of the EU Data Protection Regulation.

Taking place on International Data Protection Day – January 28 – Ruback will discuss the proposed data regulation and the challenges it poses, as well as the need for a flexible approach to allow for the development of new technologies not yet in existence.

“We are focused on the value of transparency and helping businesses adhere to industry best practices. Updating the data protection framework will add certainty and consistency for businesses, and redefine how consumer data is collected,” he said.
