UK— GfK has appointed Joe Staton as global consumer trends director of its Roper Consulting business, where he will be responsible for leading development around the TrendKey consumer trends platform.
Staton (pictured) joins the firm from The Future Foundation where he was planning director and worked on the launch of the Mosiac UK 2009 consumer classification tool.
While at The Future Foundation he also co-authored a paper called Social Media Futures for the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising.
During his 20 year career, Staton has worked with clients in the CPG, automotive, media and telecoms, financial and IT sectors.
GfK NOP UK chairman Phyllis Macfarlane said: “Joe has spent two decades helping his clients face the future. With the wealth of GfK Roper global trends data at his disposal, we expect Joe to provide our clients with unmatched strategic counsel and foresight.”
