Europe New business News

GERMANY— Public service broadcasting body ARD has extended its contract with pollster Infratest Dimap for a further five years.

For the past 15 years the agency has held the contract to conduct election polling for the consortium of regional public service broadcasters.

Infratest Dimap said it was picked for its high standards, good working relationship with ARD and track record of accurate voting predictions, based on telephone and face-to-face interviews.

Regional elections are coming up this year in the German states of Bremen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Lower Saxony and Berlin. The next federal election will take place in 2013.
