UK— Price comparison website Moneysupermarket.com has signed online specialist eDigital Research to gauge consumer opinion and keep track of market trends.
The agency will carry out fortnightly surveys with consumers to question them on topics such as how much money they spend and how reliant they are on credit cards.
Results from these surveys will be used alongside insights gained from Moneysupermarket.com’s online research community, also run by eDigital, to tailor its products and services to meet consumer needs.
EDigital will also run surveys with Moneysupermarket.com customers to assess their experience of the website.
The website’s research manager Jonathan Wood (pictured) said: “As an intermediary between businesses and the public, we didn’t have a direct mechanism for customer engagement and we only had very sketchy data about what customers wanted.”
Wood said the eDigital tie-up would help the firm “make smarter business decisions in a fast-moving market”.
