UK – Retail business The John Lewis Partnership (JLP) has agreed partnerships with customer insights, loyalty and marketing businesses Dunnhumby and Eagle Eye, and appointed Emily Wells as its first head of loyalty.
The five-year agreements with Dunnhumby and Eagle Eye Solutions are part of the company’s focus to grow its relationships with its customers across John Lewis, John Lewis Finance and Waitrose.
The move follows the company’s relaunches of its My Waitrose and My John Lewis loyalty programmes last year, ahead of a planned cross-organisation loyalty programme, set to launch in 2024.
JLP has also appointed Emily Wells to lead all loyalty programmes across the partnership, effective from June 2023.
Wells will be responsible for developing and launching the new loyalty proposition and leading and developing the My Waitrose and My John Lewis loyalty programmes and teams.
She joins from Tesco, where she was most recently head of loyalty strategy. At JLP, she will report to customer director Charlotte Lock.
Charlotte Lock, customer director, John Lewis and pan-Partnership, said: “Today’s announcements show the ambition we have to transform how our much loved brands can deliver a more personalised experience for customers. With Emily’s appointment and our new partnerships with Dunnhumby and Eagle Eye, we can better help our customers however, whenever and wherever they shop with us.”
