ComScore buys telecoms analytics business
ComScore will now market Nexius’ Xplore range of products.
The firm said in a statement: “These products provide analytics that operators can use internally to build smarter networks and improve customer care, or – at the operator’s sole discretion and in a manner that respects customer privacy – could feed into separate ComScore tools for use by media partners to enable mobile as a medium.”
CEO Magid Abraham said: “The explosive growth of mobile data services is driving growth and profitability in the [telecoms] sector but has also dramatically increased the amount and complexity of customer data that operators must manage… With this acquisition, ComScore now offers a more comprehensive set of capabilities.”
ComScore said it expects the transaction to contribute to its growth in 2010, adding around $4m to its revenue.
Nexius retains its consulting division, which will be led by co-founder Nadim Taleb.
