US— Media research firm Coleman Insights has acquired MediaEKG and its patent-pending consumer feedback technology, which is used to conduct online evaluations of radio and television shows for media companies.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. MediaEKG’s services will be offered as part of Coleman’s suite of media content improvement products and the firm’s president, Sam Milkman, will join Coleman as vice president.
Warren Kurtzman (pictured), president and COO of Coleman Insights, said: “This acquisition is a perfect strategic fit for our company and will greatly benefit our clients. Coleman Insights is dedicated to helping media properties build strong brands and develop great content and we will improve our ability to do that with MediaEKG as part of the services we offer.”
Milkman, who was made president of MediaEKG in 2006 following a 15-year career in broadcasting, will be based at Coleman’s Philadelphia office.
