US— Communications technology firm Cisco Systems has inked a deal to acquire product design, development and strategy consultancy MOTO Development Group for an undisclosed amount.
MOTO previously worked with Cisco on the creation of the latter’s Flip range of digital camcorders. The San Francisco-based firm develops products and product strategies for the consumer industry.
The deal is set to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2010, when all MOTO staff will become Cisco employees under the leadership of Jonathan Kaplan, Cisco’s senior vice president and general manager of consumer products.
