Charles elected MRIA board chair

CANADA – The Marketing Research and Intelligence Association (MRIA) has elected Amy Charles, senior vice-president of Ipsos Loyalty in Canada, as board chair.

Charles, who joined the MRIA board in 2010, begins the two-year role of chair this month, taking over from Mark Wood. She has held her position at Ipsos Loyalty for the past 17 years.

The MRIA represents the market intelligence and survey research industry in Canada, including social research, competitive intelligence, data mining, insight, and knowledge management.

Gary Bennewies, president and chief executive of Ipsos Canada, said: “Ipsos has had a long and proud affiliation with MRIA. It’s impact on our industry is immense as it continues to be the trusted source for standards, advocacy, and data protection in Canada.”
