Cello promotes research head to joint group management role

People UK

UK— Insight Research Group’s Jane Shirley has been promoted to joint group managing director of parent company Cello, reporting to the main board of directors.

In the role alongside her is John Rowley, the CEO of Cello’s communications business Tangible. Before that he was CEO of Leith, a founding agency of Cello.

Shirley is also CEO of the Cello Research board, which oversees other MR business within the group including Leapfrog, RS Consulting and 2CV.

Cello chief Mark Scott said Shirley and Rowley “will work closely together to achieve closer integration of our research and communications capabilities to reinforce our competitive advantage in the healthcare sector” – an area where Cello is making a concerted push to expand.

But Scott said the joint MDs would also focus on “continuing to raise margins in the other client sectors we service”.
