US — UK-headquartered social analytics firm Brandwatch has appointed two former executives of rival firm Topsy, a month on from the latter’s acquisition by Apple.
Even Walser (top left) and Aaron Hayes-Roth take up the posts, respectively, of vice-president of enterprise sales and vice-president of strategic alliances. The pair have been tasked with setting up an office and establishing a team in central San Francisco.
Brandwatch says it plans “to aggressively hire in the area in a bid to secure the firm’s presence in what is undoubtedly the most important place for social data, joining data providers like Google, Facebook and Twitter in Silicon Valley”.
