Blue Marble appoints managing director
Reporting to partners Emma Partridge and Naomi Kent, Clarkson (pictured) will lead the team day-to-day.
Clarkson joined the company in 2019 from BritainThinks, where he was a research director working with clients including Which?, the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and the Home Office.
Since joining Blue Marble, Clarkson has led major studies for clients including Defra, Citizens’ Advice and Crisis. In 2021, he led Blue Marble’s ‘Sink Sense’ study, a project that used motion-sensitive cameras to understand household water usage.
Working with government departments, businesses and charities, Clarkson has led major research projects on issues including Brexit, devolution and immigration, and was previously head of the financial services research team at ComRes, where he worked with clients including the Financial Conduct Authority, Barclays and the Money Advice Service.
Blue Marble’s founding partner Emma Partridge said: “Tom’s appointment to managing director reflects a period of strong growth for the agency – with a larger team delivering top quality research to a broadening client base.
“Tom has been an asset to the agency since the day he arrived. His cool head and natural leadership have been invaluable and we are delighted that Tom, as managing director, will be leading the agency to bigger and better things.”
