UK— Visit Wales, the tourism arm of the Welsh Assembly Government, has reappointed Beaufort Research to carry out the 2011 Wales Visitor Survey.
The firm carried out the last study in 2009, and data from that study will be updated in this year’s project. Beaufort will carry out almost 6,000 face-to-face interviews with visitors at tourist attractions in the country between April and September.
Beaufort will assess the profile, attitudes and satisfaction of visitors to Wales and the results will then be used to inform the Welsh Assembly Government’s marketing strategy to promote the country as a tourist destination.
Fiona McAllister, the agency’s managing director, said: “We’re delighted to have won the contract for this important Wales-wide survey for the second time. We’ll be focusing on delivering high-quality data to Visit Wales that will really add value to their marketing.”
