UK — BDRC Continental has announced the creation of two new divisions – Commercial and On the Move – described as a “response to business expansion”.
Ian Stevens, a co-founder of the agency, has been appointed managing director of the Commercial division, comprising finance and business, media, and sports and sponsorship teams.
Stevens has specialised in financial services at BDRC Continental and will continue to be responsible for several key client accounts in the sector.
Meanwhile, Matt Costin becomes managing director of the On the Move division that includes the travel, tourism and leisure, transport, hotels, meetings and hospitality, and public sector teams.
Costin joined BDRC in 2002 and has been head of the company’s hotels and hospitality division since 2008.
Explaining the new structure, CEO Dr Cris Tarrant said: “These two new divisions have been created in response to our business growth. We pride ourselves on our deep sector knowledge, and this new structure enables better cross-pollination of our ideas, best practice, and award-winning methodologies and approaches.”
BDRC Continental has also made several more promotions in recent weeks. Richard Smith has been appointed a director and a member of the company’s board, while Joy Owen and Karen Troubridge have both been promoted to associate director, Nat Wiseman becomes client services manager, and Nick Grigg moves up to research executive.
