Basis Social expands team

UK – Basis Social, the social research practice of insights consultancy Basis Research, has doubled the size of its team with three new senior appointments.

Ingrid Broch-Due (pictured, left) has joined the company as an associate director. She previously spent four years at the Behavioural Insights Team, helping to establish its qualitative team and working in exploratory and evaluative research in areas including digital product development, financial capability and inclusion and research with vulnerable groups.

Connie Flude (pictured, centre) has been appointed as an innovation lead and will support the company’s focus on social action. She joins Basis Social from The Good Side, where she was a project director, and prior to that, she worked at Kantar Public.

Elena Antoniades (pictured, right) has also joined Basis Social as operations director. Formerly associate director of project management at Ipsos, prior to that she was a global project manager at Kantar.

Basis Social was formed at the start of this year, when Darren Battachary, formerly co-chief executive at Kantar Insights, and Dan Clay, previously managing partner of UK research at SEC Newgate, joined Basis.

Since launching, the practice has worked with clients including the Cabinet Office, the Food Standards Agency and DWP

Darren Bhattachary, chief executive, Basis Social, said: “When we started Basis Social our ambition was to transform the way in which social research was done, for the benefit of clients and society. It’s been a fantastic year so far and I’m absolutely delighted to bring Ingrid, Connie, and Elena on board. Each brings something very different to the business and will help us continue to innovate and improve our offer.”
