Aurni hires Duston as MD

JAPAN – Qualitative market research business Aurni has appointed Chris Duston as managing director.

Duston (pictured) joins with more than 20 years’ experience in marketing research across Northeast Asia markets. He has held senior management roles in Japan for global agencies Kantar Research and Ipsos, as well as leading several local research consultancies in the healthcare and innovation fields. 

Most recently he was principal at Asia Medical & Professional Research (AMP).

As managing director, Duston will manage Aurni’s research services in Japan, as well as develop partnerships with researchers in the China, South Korea and Taiwan markets to extend the company’s research management across Northeast Asia. 

Duston said: "Extending Aurni’s research management offer will provide a new option for research buyers who want certified quality assurance and also will heighten the appreciation for the value of quality-based research among research providers in Northeast Asia."

Aurni has achieved the ISO 20252 quality certification for qualitative and quantitative research.
