ASC elects Snap co-founder Wills as chairman

UK— The Association for Survey Computing (ASC) has elected Peter Wills as chairman, succeeding Laurance Gerrard who has spent the past three years in the role.

Wills (pictured) is chairman of software firm Snap Surveys, the company he co-founded with MD Steve Jenkins in 1981. Gerrard, meanwhile, is an independent IT and business consultant.

Commenting on his role at the ASC, Wills said: “It is certainly a very interesting time to be chairman of the ASC as the research market is moving on rapidly with the take-up of different technologies.

“As the role of the traditional researcher changes we need to be in a position to promote innovation and best practice in survey computing.”
