US — Arbitron has voluntarily dismissed a copyright infringement lawsuit brought against WKYC-TV over the alleged improper use of ratings data.
The media measurement firm originally sued WKYC-TV for allegedly “copying and distributing copyrighted audience estimates obtained from the Arbitron reports and databases without authorisation from Arbitron”.
An out-of-court settlement has since been reached, following which Arbitron filed to dismiss the case.
