APT teams up with IRI to mine PoS data

New business North America

US — Predictive analytics software company Applied Predictive Technologies (APT) is to use Information Resources’ (IRI) point of sale (PoS) data on its Test & Learn software suite.

With manufacturers and their retail partners looking to leverage PoS or transaction data to gain insights about their consumers, the companies said the team-up would enable CPG, retail and over-the-counter healthcare companies to further distill cause-and-effect relationships in their transaction data and accurately understand the impact of various operating initiatives.

Patrick O’Reilly, president and COO of APT, said: “APT’s solutions have added millions of dollars in value for leading manufacturers and their retail partners. We look forward to working with IRI to enable our clients to use IRI’s PoS data to conduct scientific in-market tests.”
