AMD hires for Passenger partnership

CHINA — Asia Market Development (AMD) has appointed Genie Yip (pictured) as digital strategy manager, to support the company’s partnership with online community firm Passenger.

The partnership, ongoing since March, involves an “on-the-ground” presence in China and southeast Asia to deliver Passenger’s Community technology platform and overall solution set to clients.

Based in Shanghai, Yip will work with Passenger’s Asia Pacific MD Kathleen McBride to “localise and accelerate the AMD and Passenger partnership,” said Jeff Stewart, AMD’s founder and MD.

Yip joins the company from digital marketing agency Aquarius Asia, where she served as senior digital strategist and was responsible for research and digital marketing strategy.
