Accenture agrees Logic acquisition

US – Professional services giant Accenture has agreed to acquire retail technology services company Logic for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition will support Accenture’s work with retail clients, with Logic specialising in areas such as customer loyalty and operational management, as well as the use of artificial intelligence (AI).

Logic has around 800 staff and offices in 11 countries, with headquarters in Minneapolis, US.

Completion of the acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, including receipt of regulatory approvals.

Karthik Narain, group chief executive – technology at Accenture, said: “Companies will need to transform every part of their enterprise using cloud, data and AI to optimise operations and accelerate growth.

“Logic’s digital, data and cloud capabilities, coupled with its deep industry experience, will complement Accenture Technology’s capabilities and further expand our ability to deliver impactful results to our clients.”

Jill Standish, global lead of Accenture’s retail industry practice, added: “The addition of Logic’s expertise and industry-specific skills will further enhance our ability to deliver comprehensive retail solutions and drive transformative outcomes for our clients to thrive in this dynamic marketplace.”
