US— Fieldwork firm 20|20 Research has launched a new technology that allows clients to carry out qualitative work on quantitative respondents.
20|20 says the QualLink tool is compatible with “almost any online survey software” and works by linking those packages with the company’s own QualBoard bulletin board platform.
Once respondents have completed a quantitative survey, a “select group” are asked to opt in to a QualBoard session where they take part in the qualitative part of the research.
Director of innovation Isaac Rogers said: “Until now, the process of collecting qualitative ‘depth’ during a survey was clunky, time-consuming and required a lot of manual work. Some technologies tried to fill the void, but none accomplished the real goal – to quickly and easily transition a select group of participants from an online survey to an online qualitative platform.”
