Darren Till, Bulbshare

Darren Till is a senior member of the Bulbshare team, with over a decade’s experience in the research world. From early on in his career, he embraced the digital side, always innovating, and has been integral in helping Bulbshare to grow.

Darren was nominated because "even though he works in the research team, his presence can be felt all across the business. A true mentor, he has shared his career experiences at the MRS Graduate Roadshow on multiple occasions and is always active in offering help and advice to others in the team, whether they are junior or senior."

What is the biggest challenge you have faced during your career?

I have never only wanted to be a researcher – we are all so much more than any one job description, so I enjoy wearing different hats within a business to gain new skills and educate others where I can. It takes trust to make it work, but it certainly brings benefits to the whole company.

What will be the next big trend or development in the research industry, and why?

I am really excited and interested to see where generative AI takes us. There is a lot of buzz around it, and we are at the forefront of it – if you stand still, you get left behind. There are lots of opportunities and avenues to explore, and we are working closely with our clients to walk the road together. I love to experiment with new tech, so the next few months will be a busy time!

Who inspires you as a researcher?

I see it all around me. It’s important to create a positive working environment where people can be themselves and prosper. I’m lucky to have had that in my previous and current role from the leadership function, and it is something I am conscious of facilitating as well. Seeing new people join the team with fresh ideas always brings a smile to my face.
