The Market Research Society launched the Research Heroes programme to celebrate the sector’s unsung heroes. Angela Orme has joined the cadre of Research Heroes 2024.
Angela worked in Burton’s computer department before becoming a single mother of two young boys, but needed a flexible place to work. Swift offered this and Angela started working in the office, programming questionnaires and running data. As the company grew, she became more involved in the market research process and found it fascinating. Working her way through all the company’s departments, Angela learnt new skills in each area, from the first interview to the first group discussion to running projects for international clients.
Angela was nominated because: "Her commitment has always been second to none, whether it’s a focus group that needs moderating at 9pm, or a CLT briefing at 8am, Angela will always be the first to volunteer. She has also been a crucial member of the team, helping to train countless junior researchers throughout the years who, themselves, have gone on to have successful careers in the industry."
