YouGov Siraj and Al Aan TV strike polling deal

DUBAI— Pan-Arabian TV broadcaster Al Aan has inked a deal with YouGov Siraj to produce polls examining Arab consumers’ take on social and economic issues.

Using YouGov Siraj’s 225,000-member consumer panel the two firms will produce weekly and monthly polls in countries throughout the region – principally Al Aan’s key markets of Saudi Arabia and UAE, and other countries such as Egypt and Iraq that the broadcaster sees strong growth potential.

The results of the polls will be reported by Al Aan News on a regular bases. The channel’s news editor Nisreen Sadek (pictured) said: “The Arab viewer is diverse and dynamic. We want to capture important trends that define the audience and report them regularly in our news programs. We want to be known as the news service that gives a huge emphasis to polls.”

YouGov Siraj CEO Sundip Chahal added: “Al Aan TV has come a long way in a short space of time and their reason for being resonates extremely well with YouGov Siraj’s goals and philosophies. By being on our panel, people across the region will be able to take part in Al Aan/YouGov Siraj surveys and ensure their voice is heard.”
