UK – One in five workers are still working from home all the time, but this figure has declined over the past two months, according to the Office for National Statistics.
The proportion of working adults working exclusively from home has decreased to 20%, compared with a high point of 38% between 11th-14th June, the most recent Opinions and Lifestyle Survey (OPN) found.
Additionally, the proportion of working adults who had travelled to work reached 57%, the highest level since the ONS began the series.
Data was collected from 26th-30th August.
The government was set to launch a public information campaign today ( 4th September) encouraging workers to return to offices, but it has reportedly been postponed.
Data from the ONS’ Business Impact of Coronavirus (COVID-19 ) Survey also found that 11% of the workforce remain on furlough leave.
