US — Tech market research firm Touchstone Research has created a new division, Touchstone VR, offering consumer insights for virtual and augmented reality.
Touchstone VR has conducted research on various aspects of this technology including one on the next generation wave of virtual reality technology and headsets and a consumer sentiment report looking at awareness and attitudes to the technology.
In addition to the VR consumer insights reports it publishes, Touchstone VR offers VR and AR specific research services using tech-driven research methodologies and market research tools and platforms.
Aaron Burch, president, Touchstone Research, said: “We feel that virtual reality and augmented reality hold the promise to be the most disruptive technology to come out since social media and mobile, and may become the next computing platform. If VR delivers, and all signs are good, we believe it will impact every major industry and transform the world as we know it.
