Tablets added to Arbitron’s UK mobile trends service

UK— Arbitron is to add tablet measurement to its Mobile Trends Panels service in the UK.

Mobile Trends Panels data comes from an opted-in panel of 3,500 adults who download a software meter to their devices which tracks how they they use them in their everyday lives.

Information covers app usage, web usage, media consumption, device and network metrics for all major smartphones plus tablets.

Hannu Verkasala, VP at Arbitron Mobile – previously Zokem – said: “We are able to compare and contrast the behaviour of tablet users to that of smartphone users, so that marketers, content providers, app developers and wireless access suppliers can optimise their mobile strategies in a rapidly evolving environment.”
