UK— Elizabeth Deeming of Stylus and Alison White of Face Facts (pictured) have been named in Management Today’s annual ‘35 Women Under 35’ list.
Deeming, 35, launched her market research buiness in the UK in 2010, having moved from the US in 2000. She only intended to stay here for a six-month contract. The magazine says she is “enamoured with the UK’s cosmopolitan capital but hankers after the efficiency of the American way of doing business”.
Earlier this year, media and information group Hearst Corporation bought a 20% stake in Stylus, which is based in London and has offices in New York and Los Angeles. The company tracks consumer behaviour and cultural shifts across industries including automotive, technology, media, retail, fashion and hospitality.
Meanwhile White, 30, was praised for her “resilience” in overcoming adversity, such as an arson attack which burnt down Face Facts’ office. She also runs the Research Mafia events and conferences business. She has been setting up companies since the age of 19.
