UK— Stream Research is launching a new qualitative syndicated study that will span four countries examining what consumers ‘need’ from their apps.
The My H(app)y Life research will cover the UK, US, Italy and France, with a dozen one-on-one ethnographic interviews and three focus groups to be conducted in each market.
Overseas work will be carried out by Nexus members, an international network of small agencies set up by Stream and US-based agency ARC in 2007 and fieldwork will begin in December.
Stream owner Nick Head explained that the project’s aim was to give guidance to developers on how to build apps that “grab people’s attention”.
He said the study could be rolled out to the BRIC countries if there is sufficient demand.
