Sainsbury’s Christmas ad tops YouTube charts

UK — YouTube’s ad leader board for 2014, which ranks the ads people have chosen to watch throughout the year in the UK, showed Sainsbury’s Christmas ad featuring the WW1 truce football game was the most watched.

Sainsbury’s beat brands such as John Lewis and Nike in terms of views. YouTube made Wieden + Kennedy the top creative agency of 2014 with Mindshare the top media agency, using an algorithm to include paid views, organic views and audience retention.

YouTube’s 10 most watched ads in 2014 achieved more than 330 million views globally.
