US — Software company Remesh, which integrates artificial intelligence (AI) with market research, has raised $1m in angel investment and hired Matt Gershner as EVP of sales and marketing.
Investors included Steve Schlesinger, CEO of Schlesinger Associates, Charles Stack, founder of Books.com, Steve Potash, CEO of Overdrive, and Techstars, the global startup accelerator.
The Remesh platform uses machine learning to understand and engage groups of people with real-time conversation.
The company has also hired Matt Gershner (pictured), former vice president of strategic relationships at Lightspeed GMI, as its executive vice president of sales and marketing.
“We are fortunate to have brought on board someone with Matt’s skills and industry experience to help drive rapid growth in the marketing research industry,” said Andrew Konya, chief executive officer and founder at Remesh.
“We are ushering in a new form of insight collection, and we’re excited to have Matt help raise awareness of this powerful new technology.”
