US – Experience management firm Qualtrics has appointed Gurdeep Singh Pall as its first president of artificial intelligence (AI) strategy.
Pall (pictured) will help guide Qualtrics’ AI work in his new role, as well as working with the technology and product teams on setting out the company’s vision for AI and road map for its use in experience management.
Before joining Qualtrics, Pall worked for more than 30 years at Microsoft, most recently as corporate vice-president: head of business AI, product incubations.
This role involved Pall being part of the technology and research leadership team that helped develop Microsoft’s partnership with generative AI firm OpenAI.
Last year, Qualtrics set out a plan to spend around $500m on AI over the next four years, launching an AI-driven version of its Qualtrics platform in the process.
Qualtrics chief executive Zig Serafin said: “AI is the most transformative technology that the world has ever seen, and we are betting big on it, as a company, by hiring Gurdeep to set and accelerate a visionary agenda to make business more human.
“This exciting new addition to our leadership team sets us up to be out front, with our customers, leading into the new era of AI-powered experience management.”
