Pernod Ricard creates Chatter as employee innovation catalyst

FRANCE — Drinks firm Pernod Ricard has launched a corporate social network, called Chatter, which encourages employees to generate ideas and share insights for improving its family of brands.

Built with Salesforce, Pernod Ricard Chatter is described by the company as “a global catalyst for generating ideas” and is being promoted with the strapline, “Share a new idea every day”.

The company says the use of a social network model aims to encourage open and continuous dialogue, real-time data-sharing, mobile multi-source collaboration and instant messaging among the firm’s 18,800 personnel.

Pierre Pringuet, vice chairman of the board and CEO (pictured), said: “Our social network will help us to strengthen exchanges between employees around the world. It will facilitate and accelerate the spread of information and good practices. Collaborative and convivial, it should be a catalyst for innovation and creativity.”
