UK— Data collection agency Peak Answers has celebrated its first year in business by reporting sales of more than £1m, double what the firm had been expecting to bring in.
The company was launched exactly a year ago by Dave Laybourne, who was made redundant from his role as director of research operations at Harris Interactive and bought his former employer’s call centre.
Laybourne said that over the course of the year the company had mostly carried out data collection tasks for research agencies, however he said it had worked on several projects for non-agency clients.
“We’ve clearly had a fantastic first year, with sales exceeding all expectations,” he said. “As is always the case in the market research world, past client relationships have helped to contribute to our success, but it is particularly gratifying that we have built up a significant amount of business with new clients.”
