SWEDEN – Nielsen has signed a five-year extension to its agreement with the Swedish Joint Industry Committee (JIC) and MMS (Mediamätning i Skandinavien AB) for TV and video viewing across devices.
Nielsen has measured TV in the Swedish market for almost 25 years now. The new measurement agreement includes expanding the people metre panel, which will more than double the number of panel households, from 1,350 to 3,000.
Other new Nielsen components for MMS includes: streaming metre measurement of OTT content from digital devices; VOD measurement; expanded second home and Non-TV Set home measurements; as well as complementary measurement with Nielsen Watermarking.
Toni Petra, executive vice-president, international watch, Nielsen said: “The service we’re deploying in Sweden reflects a world-first, combining state-of-the-art technology with proven audience measurement experience. We’re very proud to have worked with MMS, a valued client of many years, in the successful launch of this new service.”
