Nielsen expands Connected Partner Program

US – Nielsen has signed up several new retail-focused companies as the latest members of its Connected Partner Program.

The companies include big data and analytics company, 1010data; marketing and promotions personalisation business, ciValue; supply chain management firm, Neogrid; pricing strategy business, Clear Demand; and product discovery platform, RangeMe – which join the 13 already part of the programme.

Chris Morley, president of Nielsen, US Buy, said: "As retailers navigate this new retail world, we believe that collaboration is a crucial component to omnichannel success.

"Our connected partner approach enables a higher level of teamwork and collaboration. We are encouraging connections – not just connecting data, but connecting teams, vendors and media agencies to bring true open source to the retail industry."

Nicky Jackson, founder and CEO of RangeMe, added: "We're delighted to partner with Nielsen to provide verified sales data for the over 2,000 retail category buyers using RangeMe. Seamless access to this data will be not only helpful, but essential for retailers as they make decisions about which new products to put on shelf."
