US— Simon Kooyman, CEO of Knowledge Networks (KN), is to become chief operating officer of GfK Custom Research North America once GfK completes its acquisition of KN.
The deal was announced on Friday. In a note to clients, Kooyman (pictured) said: “We are flattered by GfK’s show of confidence in what we have achieved and can still [achieve].”
He said the acquisition would provide KN clients “with access to a global knowledge network with a broader suite of products and solutions designed to drive business success and support public policy development”.
For GfK’s part, it sees the acquisition as helping to strengthen its media measurement offering, handing it control of the Dimestore digital ad effectiveness platform as well as the Knowledge Panel and Cada Cabeza panel of Hispanic consumers.
The deal is expected to be closed on 3 January.
