Ipsos Mori Public Affairs appoints head of energy and environment
Brisley is said to have in-depth experience and understanding of net zero and climate resilience, which she will use to “provide robust research and evidence to public sector clients at a time of acute global awareness of these issues and their impacts”, according to the agency.
Brisley joins Ipsos from JBA Consulting where she was head of climate services, supporting policy and decision makers to assess and manage climate risks. She brings expertise in climate resilience and net zero and is a regular commentator in the media on these issues, including recently at COP26.
Brisley will be joining Ipsos’ fastest-growing research and policy practice to lead a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, evaluation specialists and economists working specifically in areas of environmental, energy and sustainable development policy for national and international public sector clients.
Commenting on the appointment, Ipsos Mori public affairs managing director Trinh Tu said: “With the eyes of the world on the UK regarding environmental and sustainability concerns, this is an incredibly exciting time to welcome Rachel into our public affairs team. Her experience and network will be invaluable in driving forward Ipsos Mori’s offer in this area.”
