FRANCE — Ipsos has announced the successful completion of the merger clearance of the agreement to acquire four global divisions of GfK’s custom research business.
The four divisions consist of customer experience, experience innovation, health and public affairs.
News of the deal broke in July and was conditional on mandatory clearances from anti-trust authorities in all the countries that the global divisions operate in — 26 in all.
Ipsos anticipates that the deal will close on October 1st 2018.
Its chairman and chief executive, Didier Truchot, said at the time of the initial news that the deal would help Ipsos become stronger in customer experience and mystery shopping, innovation and user experience, healthcare and public affairs.
